Tony
Owner of drainhub.uk
I’ve spent a huge amount of time dealing with drainage issues since 2004, from simple pan blockages to flooded basements and everything in between.
Whether it’s a house or flat with a blocked sink or a commercial property with overflowing drains, I’ve always found it best to break the problem down, determine where the issue is most likely to be and then decide on the quickest, cleanest method of dealing with it.
Over the years I’ve held various tickets and qualifications relating to the UK drainage industry and due to my Health & Safety conscious job role, pretty much everything has always been covered.
Some of These Include
- HPWJ (High Pressure Water Jetting)
- Confined Space
- CSCS
- NRSWA Streetworks
- iPAF (Working at Height on Mobile Elevated Work Platforms)
- NPORS (National Plant Operators Registration Scheme for excavator and construction-related work)
- Asbestos Awareness
- Food Handling and Preparation
Why Did I Create DrainHub?
DrainHub isn’t my first website and quite likely won’t be my last. The reason I created a site like this was it’s a subject I can firmly say I can help lots of people, especially when they’re experiencing anything from a disaster to a nuisance problem – and don’t know where to turn.
Over the years I’ve seen people both panic over the slightest, easily fixable problem and people take a complete disaster in their stride, and everything in between.
Two things I’ve noticed are:
Some people can clearly manage to solve most of their drainage problems themselves, once they’re armed with some sensible advice and experience, and just want to know what tool to use or where to access their drainage system and clear from, and I can help them with that.
And some people are out of their depth (no pun intended) or cannot, or just don’t want to, deal with the problem themselves and will happily pay a professional to solve the problem for them. A lot of these people just need information, guidance or reassurance that they’re being told genuine information and not being ripped off. I can help them with that, too.
So from the best kind of drainage tool in any given situation to how to reduce or prevent blockages or flooding, to general information about how your average domestic or commercial drains work, DrainHub.uk was created to help people suffering with an often embarrassing and always inconvenient problem by helping them do it themselves or pointing them in the right direction.
